  • Every year gas prices tend to increase during the spring and summer months because of increasing demand. As people start to enjoy the warmer weather by enjoying travel and recreational activities, demand for gasoline increases and so does the price.

    It can be difficult to immediately change your lifestyle to adapt to higher gas prices; however, there are several ways you can reduce your expenditures on gasoline:

  • (FRANKFORT, Ky.)—Kentucky Adult Education, a unit of the Council on Postsecondary Education, issued a consumer alert today regarding fraudulent websites claiming to offer high school and GED® diplomas for a fee through the Internet.

    “Kentuckians need to know there is one way to earn a GED® credential and that is through a test administered onsite at an Official GED Testing Center™,” said Reecie Stagnolia, vice president for Kentucky Adult Education.

    A 97,700-gallon stand pipe (water silo) will be completed this week in Milton. With the new stand pipe a booster pump at the city limits on U.S. 42 will fill and back pressure and will handle pressure in the small lines.
    May 8th has been designated Bedford Clean up Day. Tyler Sanitation will pick up your throw-aways and clutter if you put them on the curb. They will take away everything but junk cars and dead livestock.
