  • The Trimble County Middle School staff would like to recognize the following 8th grade students  and staff members for their hard work and commitment to education. 

  • If you have been wearing the same walking shoes since the beginning of the year, or even longer, now may be the time to replace those shoes! 

    Often, we get very comfortable in the shoes we have on our feet and do not want to give them up.  However, those trusty shoes may not offer our feet and bodies the support needed when we are walking for exercise.

    Trimble County Sheriff Howard Long is still investigating the plane crash of a Cessna 182 into the Ohio River last July 4.

    The Milton Town Board received a complete set of plans and Joe Ballard, from the construction-engineering firm, said that a copy of the plans had been sent to the state for approval and any revisions that would be deemed necessary. If revisions were not needed, the target date for letting out the contract for construction of the system would be six months.

  • Bedford’s Jenna Underhill will play the lead role of Jenny Lind in “When Jenny Lind Came To Town” at Hanover College’s Fitzgibbon Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14.

    Underhill, a 2011 graduate of Trimble County High School, is currently a sophomore majoring in communications and theater at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany.

    In addition to her role as Jenny Lind, Underhill is also the play’s assistant director.

  • Ronald and Toni Crouch, Bedford, announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha JoAnne Crouch to Joseph Alan Whitaker, son of Cecil and Vicki Whitaker, Pendleton, Ky.

    The bride elect is a 2005 graduate of Trimble County High School and a 2008 graduate of Sullivan University. She is the granddaughter of Frankie and Donna O’Neal, Bedford.

    The groom elect is a 2004 graduate of Henry County High School. He is the grandson of Bell and Ruth Hughes, Bedford.
