    Jefferson Community Technical College, Trimble County Adult Education will honor the 2011 & 2012 graduates at 6:30 p.m. at the Trimble County Public Library.

    The following cases were heard in Trimble County Court the week of Nov. 19-Nov.. 23, 2012.

  • Milton Elementary School held a special recognition event recently to celebrate their recent Proficient score in the Statewide K-Prep testing.

    To celebrate a proficient score of 64.6 and a ranking of 78, MES students were rewarded with a day of fun on November 5th.

    The day began with an assembly where every student was individually recognized. Each student was given a ribbon for their hard work and achieving their individual goal.

  • The 2012 drought this spring and summer was tough on grain producers in Kentucky. Hopefully expectations will be better next year.

    Trimble County corn producers can get a leg up on the 2013 grain production season by attending the Early Bird Grain Meeting on Tuesday, November 27, 2013 at the Trimble County Extension Office.

    This program is coming to Trimble County via a live Lync session from the Fayette County Extension Office. The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

    The Trimble County school system was among four such systems in Kentucky to be given more time to balance their budget by the Kentucky State Board of Education last Thursday. In October the local school board submitted their plan to the State for eliminating the $78,769 deficit that had developed in last year’s budget. School systems are required by state law to balance their budgets.
