    Trimble County Judge-Executive Jerry Powell was on hand to administer the oath of office to two newly elected members of the Trimble County Board of Education during the board’s first meeting of the new year last Wednesday evening in the administration building on Wentworth Avenue in Bedford.

    Trimble County High School band director Mark Jonson has announced that the high school band has been invited to be Kentucky’s representative in the National Independence Day Festival Parade in Washington, D.C., on July 4, 1985! The four-day trip will also see the band members visiting Philadelphia. Following the July 4 parade, the students and their entourage will visit many of the historic sites in and around the Capitol City.
