    On one of the worse winter days of the year, about 300 people flocked to the court house at Bedford Monday to hear Governor Martha Layne Collins and state school superintendent Alice McDonald talk about Kentucky’s educational needs. Both women answered questions from the local audience and were received warmly.

  • HANOVER, Ind. - Trent Taylor was one of more than 300 students who earned Dean‚s List honors for the fall 2014 semester. To qualify for the Dean‚s List, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or better.
    Taylor, a sophomore political science major, is the son of Tim and Michelle Taylor, Milton. He is a graduate of Trimble County High School.

  • The University of Northwestern Ohio is proud to acknowledge that Milton resident Cody L. Dean has made the Dean’s List for the November 2014 session in the College of Applied Technologies. Full-time students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better to be named to the Dean’s List.
    Cody Dean is a 2014 graduate of Trimble County High School.
    The University of Northwestern Ohio is located in Lima, Ohio.

These symptoms may be associated with sundowner syndrome. Sundowner syndrome causes people to be confused at the end of the day and into the night. It is common for individuals who are sundowning to pace, wander, ignore directions and not sleep well.

  • Radon is the No. 1 cause of lung cancer after smoking. It annually kills more than 21,000 Americans and accounts for about 12 percent of all cancer deaths. But you don’t have to be a victim, according to Beverly Miller, Senior Extension Associate for Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Kentucky.
