    Today is the last day to submit orders for March 2011 Trimble County AngelFood. Distribution will be on Saturday, Mar. 26 from 10-11 a.m. at the Milton Wesleyan Church, Rt. 36E in Milton.

    Homemaker Council Meeting 1 p.m. at the Extension office, 43 High Country Lane, Bedford.

    Trimble County Board of Education meets 6:30 p.m. at the school Administration Building.

  • Angela Stethen has achieved the designation of dean’s scholar at Western Kentucky University for the Fall 2010 semester. This honor is given to students who earn a grade average of 3.4-3.79.
    Stethen is a 2008 Trimble County graduate and is in her junior year at WKU, majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Michael and Donna Stethen of Bedford and the granddaughter of Elizabeth Middleton of Claymont, Del., and James and Mary Stethen of Bedford.

  • Students at Milton Elementary School recently jumped all over heart disease and stroke by participating in Jump Rope For Heart. The school had set a goal to raise $1,500 but far exceeded that goal, collecting a total of $7508.93 for the American Heart Association.

  • The Trimble County 4-H Communications Contest will be held on Thursday March 31, at 6 p.m. at the Trimble County Extension Office. This event is open to all Trimble youth ages 9 – 19. Partici-pants can phone 255-7188 by March 28. 

  • Monday, March 14: Hot Dog w/chili sauce, *rib-e-q, potato smiles, baked beans, sauerkraut, broccoli, carrots & dip, fresh fruit, chips
    Tuesday, March 15: Spaghetti w/meat sauce, *pizza, tossed salad, peas, pineapple/cottage cheese, garlic cheese bread, fresh fruit
    Wednesday, March 16: Chicken tenders, *turkey on bun, mashed potatoes, green beans, Jell-O w/topping, whole wheat bread, fresh fruit

  • Paige Laurel and Ethan Brock announce the birth of their sister, Emery Grace Heinz. Emery was born Jan. 8, 2011, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky. She weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 20 inches long.
    Parents are Bobby and Bree Heinz of Milton. Maternal grandparents are David and Teresa Ginn, also of Milton; paternal grandparents are John and Sandy Heinz, Milton. Maternal great-grandfather is Wyman Callis of Bedford.
