    Milton Elementary School Site-Based Decision Making Council meets at 4:15 p.m. in the school library.
    Trimble County Hymn Sing will be at 7 p.m. at Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God on Smith Lane off US 421S. Everyone welcome.

    Saturday, April 9
    Mt. Byrd Christian Church will open their Food Pantry and Clothes Closet from 10 a.m-1 p.m.

    Antioxidants are vitamins, minerals and other compounds in food that protect cells in the body from damage by compounds called free radicals. Free radicals occur naturally when the body breaks down food or when it is exposed to tobacco smoke or radiation. Free radicals may play a role in heart disease, cancer, and other diseases.

    March 26, 1981

    A skeleton was found Sunday afternoon fastened in tree roots on the river bank in Spring Creek bottom.

    Forrest Burkhardt was walking along the Ohio River about a quarter ‘till 5, when he noticed the human skeleton ensnarled in tree roots left exposed by the undercutting of the water. Obviously it is surmised that the skeleton was washed in and lodged amid the roots.

    Trimble County Babe Ruth summer baseball program sign-ups are being held through March 31. Applications available at the Milton Municipal Building. The league is open to youths ages 13-15. Call 268-5224.

    To find out, plan to attend the “Got Cedar: Now What” educational program this Thursday, March 24, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Franklin County Extension Office. The Franklin County Extension Office is located at 101Lakewood Court in Frankfort.
