The annual RAKER reunion gathering is set for July 29 this year. It will be held at the American Legion Post 9 Shelter, at 707 Jefferson Street in Madison, Indiana.
Descendants of Ernst and Mary Buscher RAKER, and the related families of Strautmann, Titkemeyer, Uhlmansiek, Bulthaup, Obertate, Diekmann, Thiemann, and Detmer, and friends are invited to come join the reunion.
Bedford Baptist VBS picnic supper
Bedford Baptist Church, Galactic Starveyors VBS for infants through the 6th grade concludes tonight! Parents are invited to come at 7 p.m., to see what their children have learned this year and then enjoy a picnic supper. The church is located at 1425 U.S. 42E.

Mayor Todd Pollock called the regular monthly meeting of the Bedford City Commissioners to order at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 20. During the meeting, Commissioner Gary Johnson reported he is checking into prices of pumps for the lift stations, and that a light in Lift 1 is not working. He can replace the bulb if that is the problem.
ATLANTA, GA -- Robert Daniel Haney of Bedford has earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He is the son of Robert and Dawn Haney, Bedford.
Haney was among approximately 3,800 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech’s 253rd Commencement exercises on May 5-6, 2017, at the McCamish Pavilion.
Trimble County Board of Education Meeting

Bedford Baptist Church, Galactic Starveyors VBS, is June 25-29, from 6:30 p.m.-8:45 p.m., for infants through the 6th grade! Parents are invited on Thursday, June 29, at 7 p.m., to see what their children have learned this year and then enjoy a picnic supper.
Campbellsburg Christian Church, 225 Maple Street, Campbellsburg, is hosting a Community Block Party this Sunday, June 25 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Food, drinks and desserts will be provided. There will be a bounce house on site and a cornhole tournament will be held with prizes included.

I’m not wealthy. I’m not even above the poverty line according to the National register of incomes so I really like a bargain. I recently learned I will be able to find bargains starting in July.
Ann and Bob Cook of New Castle are in the process of stocking the middle rooms of the old Country Store building in Bedford as a Thrift Shop. I opened the door Saturday and found them knee deep in preparation for their July 1 opening. Clothes racks, shelving and boxes of odds and ends were lined against the wall.
