  • Stethen is earns dean's honor at WKU

    Angela Stethen has achieved the designation of dean’s scholar at Western Kentucky University for the Fall 2010 semester. This honor is given to students who earn a grade average of 3.4-3.79.
    Stethen is a 2008 Trimble County graduate and is in her junior year at WKU, majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of Michael and Donna Stethen of Bedford and the granddaughter of Elizabeth Middleton of Claymont, Del., and James and Mary Stethen of Bedford.

  • Heinz family welcomes baby girl

    Paige Laurel and Ethan Brock announce the birth of their sister, Emery Grace Heinz. Emery was born Jan. 8, 2011, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky. She weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 20 inches long.
    Parents are Bobby and Bree Heinz of Milton. Maternal grandparents are David and Teresa Ginn, also of Milton; paternal grandparents are John and Sandy Heinz, Milton. Maternal great-grandfather is Wyman Callis of Bedford.
     

  • Arnold named to Shelby energy board

    Diana Arnold of Bedford has been appointed to serve District III on the Shelby Energy Cooperative's Board of Directors. District III encompasses Trimble County and portions of Carroll and Oldham counties.
    A graduate of Berea College, Arnold earned graduate hours from Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Louisville to complete her master's degree in teaching. She later attained Rank I, which included course credit for participation in HumBio Summer Institutes at Stanford University.

  • Rotary Club speech winners honored

    The Bedford Rotary Club’s speech contest for high school students was held Feb. 22 at the Trimble County Extension Office.
