    Dr. and Mrs. Tom Wilkes of Alexandria, Ky., formerly of Bedford,  and Mr. and Mrs. Julian Mitchell of Carrollton would like to announce the engagement of their children Rachel Wilkes of Alexandria and Justin Mitchell of Alexandria.

  • McClellans welcome baby girl

    Jeremiah & Christina (Albert) McClellan wish to announce the birth of their daughter, Scarlett Daneen McClellan. Scarlett was born on February 15, 2012 at Baptist NorthEast Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs and 6 ozs and was 20 ½ inches long.

  • Middle school recognizes March standouts

    Trimble County Middle School Pricipal Mike Genton has recognized the TCMS 8th Grade Students of the Month and the Teacher and Staff Spotlight for March.

    Gabrielle Murray is the 8th Grade Female Student of the Month. Gabby’s favorite class at TCMS is Math. Gabby is a member of the band at school and also participates in marching band. Gabby’s favorite book is The Halo Series, and her favorite TV show is “Big Brother.” After high school Gabby plans to attend Morehead State University and become a veterinarian.

  • ALS fundraiser is storm victim

    “Bob’s Bunch Battling ALS” will hold a fundraiser at the Morgan Community Center in Bedford on Saturday, April 14. The tornado that struck the Milton Fire Station No. 2 on March 2 forced the cancellation of another fundraiser the group had planned to hold on the following day.

  • Emery Grace Heinz celebrates 1 year

    Emery Grace Heinz celebrated her first birthday, January 8th with her family. She is the daughter of Bobby and Bree Heinz, Milton.

    Her maternal grandparents are David and Teresa Ginn, Milton. Maternal grandparent is Wyman Callis, Bedford.

    Her paternal grandparents are John and Sandy Heinz, Milton.

  • Keetons’ welcome baby boy

    Case Owen Keeton would like to announce the arrival of his new baby brother, Cort Allen Keeton.  Cort was born November 23, 2011 at 1:40 a.m. at Norton’s Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  He weighed 7 lbs. and 4 ounces and was 20 inches in length.

    Parents of Cort and Case are Justin and Whitney Fryman Keeton.  Maternal Grandparents are Ron and Vickie Cull; and Jerry and Lisa Fryman.
    Paternal Grandparents are Ric and Donna Oak; and John and Dotty Keeton.  

  • Wilscoxson family welcomes baby boy

    Jay and Kristen Ward-Wilcoxson are proud to announce the birth of their son, Lucas Henry Wilcoxson.

    Lucas was born on February 23, 2012 at 1:20 a.m. at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He weighed 8 lbs. 11 ounces and was 20 inches in length.

    Maternal grandparents are Rick and Sandy Ward; and Paternal grandparents are Thomas, Sr. and Jan Wilcoxson.

  • Isaacs’ welcome baby girl

    Madilyn Ruth Isaacs was born to Nicholas and Amanda Isaacs of Bedford on January 22, 2012 at Baptist East in Louisville.

    She weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

    Maternal Grandparents are Jerry and Debra Smith of Bedford.

    Grandparents are Don and Brenda Isaacs of Springville, Ind., and Rosalie Isaacs of Nashville, Tenn.

  • Bands to give concert at TCHS tomorrow

    Trimble County High School will host a concert tomorrow night featuring three area bands. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The musical showcase will feature the TCHS Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band, and a special appearance by the Madison Community Concert Band. The latter consists of many veteran instrumentalists from the surrounding area, including several Trimble County residents.
