Dana Riddle was elected State Treasurer of Future Business Leaders of American at their convention April 26-28. Tyla Brewer was chosen regional secretary at the regional meeting in Cynthiana.
Under the direction of Ms. Debbie Shelton, all three school bands won Superior at the state competition. It was the first time for the high school band to obtain a superior rating.
Deaths: Stanley Deboe, 70, Sue Fisher Suter, 41, Bedford, died from injuries in an accident.
Heather and Chris Hunt of Vevay, Ind. announce the birth of their daughter, Hannah Marie Hunt.
Hannah was born Jan. 28, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. She weight 8 labs, 14 ounces.
She has a sister Brittany Stewart.
The paternal grandparents are Nancy Hancock, Milton and Charlie Hunt, Carrollton.
Maternal grandparents are Danny and Lynn Kinman of Carrollton and the late Brenda Kinman.
Chris Greenwood will take part in the graduation ceremony Saturday, May 14 at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduates from Xavier University with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Chris got his MBA degree and 3.8 GPA while also working full-time as an investigator with the U.S. Dept. of Labor. He earned his undergraduate degree in business at Hanover College.
Chris is the son of Gary and Janet Greenwood of Milton, KY.
Hannah Hudson of Milton, Ky. has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Hannah will be honored during an Induction Convocation this fall on the campus of University of Evansville.
