  • Project Prom committee seeking photos, donations

    Project Prom in Trimble County has been scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Trimble County High School.  Project Prom is a community-wide effort to help young people celebrate their Prom substance free.  This year’s Project Prom’s theme will be “Party of the Century”, as this year will mark the 100th graduating class at Trimble County High School.

    Warren and Jane Dunlap of Bedford are proud to announce the birth of their first great-grandchild.
    Landon Lee Mullins was born Dec. 19, 2011 at Norton’s Pavilion in Louisville, Ky.

    He is the son of Alex and Melanie Mullins of Sellersburg, Ind. and weighed 7 lbs. eight ounces and was 22 inches in length.

    His grandparents are LeighAnna and Robert Davis, LaGrange and Debbie and Gary Elders of New Salisbury, Ind.

    Trimble County Middle School Principal Mike Genton has announced recognition of the eighth grade Students of the Month and Teacher and Staff Member Spotlights for December.

  • TCHS grad Jenna Underhill in IUS theatrical production

    Jenna Underhill, a 2011 graduate of TCHS, is appearing in “The Fantasticks” at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Ind.

    The shows are scheduled for two weekends in February. The schedule times are Friday, Feb. 10 and  Saturday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. and  Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2:30 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2:30 p.m.

    Adult tickets are $12; students and seniors $6 available at the Ogle Center ticket office or by calling 812-941-2525.

    Trimble County Middle School Mike Genton has announced recognition of the seventh grade Students of the Month and Teacher and Staff Member Spotlights for December.

    “We appreciate all their hard work, and hope that you join us in celebrating their success,” Genton said.

  • Morehead Dean’s List

    The Morehead State University Dean’s List for the 2011 Fall Semester includes Katherine Reams from Bedford, Ky.

    To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled on a full-time basis and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the current semester. MSU, located in Morehead, Ky., is an affirmative action, equal opportunity, educational institution.
