  • Keetons’ welcome baby boy

    Case Owen Keeton would like to announce the arrival of his new baby brother, Cort Allen Keeton.  Cort was born November 23, 2011 at 1:40 a.m. at Norton’s Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky.  He weighed 7 lbs. and 4 ounces and was 20 inches in length.

    Parents of Cort and Case are Justin and Whitney Fryman Keeton.  Maternal Grandparents are Ron and Vickie Cull; and Jerry and Lisa Fryman.
    Paternal Grandparents are Ric and Donna Oak; and John and Dotty Keeton.  
     

  • Wilscoxson family welcomes baby boy

    Jay and Kristen Ward-Wilcoxson are proud to announce the birth of their son, Lucas Henry Wilcoxson.

    Lucas was born on February 23, 2012 at 1:20 a.m. at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He weighed 8 lbs. 11 ounces and was 20 inches in length.

    Maternal grandparents are Rick and Sandy Ward; and Paternal grandparents are Thomas, Sr. and Jan Wilcoxson.

  • Isaacs’ welcome baby girl

    Madilyn Ruth Isaacs was born to Nicholas and Amanda Isaacs of Bedford on January 22, 2012 at Baptist East in Louisville.

    She weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

    Maternal Grandparents are Jerry and Debra Smith of Bedford.

    Grandparents are Don and Brenda Isaacs of Springville, Ind., and Rosalie Isaacs of Nashville, Tenn.
     

  • Bands to give concert at TCHS tomorrow

    Trimble County High School will host a concert tomorrow night featuring three area bands. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The musical showcase will feature the TCHS Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band, and a special appearance by the Madison Community Concert Band. The latter consists of many veteran instrumentalists from the surrounding area, including several Trimble County residents.

    Trimble County Middle School Principal Mike Genton has announced recognition of the sixth grade Students of the Month and Teacher and Staff Member Spotlights for January.

    “We are very proud of these folks and celebrate their hard work and dedication to TCMS,” Genton said. “Great job!”

  • Anniversary

    W.C. “Doc” “Buddy” and Myrna Holloway celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012.

    Doc worked at M&T Chemicals for 31 years and Myrna was president and CEO of Carrollton Federal Savings and Loan when she retired after 41 years of employment.

    They are both enjoying their retirement together at their home in Trimble County and are both very active members of Cove Hill Baptist Church.

    The couple has one daughter, Cynthia McNew and one grandson, Joey McNew Jr,. both of Carrollton.

  • KSP scholarship deadline April 1

    The Kentucky State Police is now accepting applications from Kentucky high school seniors who are interested in qualifying for $1,000 scholarships that can be used for education expenses beginning in the fall of 2012. To be considered, students must complete and submit all application materials, which are available on the KSP website at www.kentuckytstatepolice.org, by April 1, 2012.
