The Trimble County student health committee and Physical Education teacher Rachel Barnes have incorporated a new program to get Trimble County Middle School active. Fuel Up to Play 60 is an incentive program, which will allow students and staff to earn points for collectibles and grant money. Monetary grants will be to purchase classroom devices for students to keep their blood pumping, focused and interested.
Gary Greenwood of Milton received an award for finishing first in his age group at the recent Climb Louisville Fight for Air Climb in Louisville.
Greenwood completed the climb in seven minutes 44 seconds. The climb involved 38 floors (780 steps) at the National City Tower in downtown Louisville. The National City Tower is the second-tallest building in Kentucky.
Greenwood’s time was 23rd best of 210 participants. It is the second year in a row he has won his age group. This year he finished 11 spots higher overall than last year.

Since 1943, every U.S. president has designated March as Red Cross Month to recognize how the Red Cross helps people down the street, across the country and around the world.
FRANKFORT— The Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s high-tech Mobile Science Activity Center will visit Bedford Elementary School Friday, Feb. 26.
Two MSACs travel to schools throughout the Commonwealth to give students the opportunity to conduct scientific experiments related to agriculture using current educational standards and core content.
Valley Christian Church, located at 817 Eleventh Street in Carrollton, will host a concert by The Infinite Realm this Saturday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m.
The vocal band, organized in 1969 by a group of Trimble County High School students, will present a concert of inspirational music, including a wide variety of musical styles. The public is invited.
