  • Crafton’s celebrate 65 years

    Payne and Thelma Hammons Crafton, Bedford, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 11. They were married in Milton on Aug. 11, 1950, by the Rev. Harry Wood.
    Mr. Crafton is retired from the Jefferson Proving Ground and Mrs. Crafton is retired from the U.S. Shoe Factory.
    The couple has one daughter, Kathy Bryan (Neil) and one grandson, Todd Bryan (Natalie). They have three great-grandsons: Gavin, Asa and Trevor Bryan.

  • Everyone enjoy the Bedford Bash

    The Bedford Loan & Deposit Bank will host the 26th Annual Bedford Bash tomorrow in the bank parking lot.
     The Bash will kick off at 6:30 p.m., and will feature an appearance by the Trimble County cheerleaders, a concert by Six Miles South and the Ninth Annual Bedford Bash Car Show.

  • Campbell honored by water works group

    Terri Campbell, Office Manager of the Trimble County Water District #1, was honored Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Early Morning Awards Breakfast at the KY/TN American Water Works Association Conference. Nominated for her outstanding customer service, flexibility and personal attention to develop and maintain relationships with customers. She was awarded with the 2015 Customer Service Award from the KY/TN Section of the AWWA. This award is only presented to one nominee from each state.

  • Hymn sing Thurs., Aug. 6

  • Library teen lock-in is tomorrow

    The Trimble County Public Library’s annual end-of-summer “Library After Hours” for middle and high school students is tomorrow from 5-9 p.m.
    “Library After Hours” is a lock-in style event, featuring illusionists from Impossible Magic, pizza, popsicles, Wii, Guitar Hero, games and DIY projects.
    Teens are encouraged to register in advance by stopping by the library or calling the library staff at (502) 255-7362.
     

  • Library’s summer reading program focus of July 21 Bedford Rotary meeting

    The Trimble County Public Library has actively addressed the problem of “Summer Slide” (summer learning loss with kids) through a third year of summer reading programs during June 1 through Aug. 1. Library staff member Amanda Neace discussed the summer reading program during the July 21 meeting of the Bedford Rotary Club.

    Bedford Rotary welcomed District Governor Mike Kull to our July 7th meeting. Mike is serving as our District 6710 Governor during July 2015 through June 2016, and will be visiting all 57 clubs in the District.  Bedford Rotary was his first stop.
