  • School volunteer background checks now $10

    Due to recently notified circumstances, Trimble County Schools will no longer be able to process Volunteer Background Check forms as a free service for students’ families. The Trimble County Board of Education Office staff is trying to get the word out to families to let them know this.

    Effective July 1, 2012, the Administrative Office of the Courts will be charging a fee of $10 for each individual wanting to have a Volunteer Form Request done.

  • Bedford’s Matt Macon to serve in summer ministry

    CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY -- Campbellsville University students are serving across Kentucky and across the globe during summer break.  Students are serving at various church camps, interning in a church, serving on ministry teams and serving overseas.

    Trimble County Middle School Principal Mike Genton has announced the school’s 8th Grade Students of the Month for April and school Staff member Spotlights for April.

  • Bedford Elementary students learn that ‘Life Is Cool’ May 16

    Bedford Elementary School’s fourth and fifth graders will learn how cool life can be when you make healthy choices when the Donate Life Kentucky Coalitions brings their fun and interactive “Life Is Cool” program to campus on Wednesday May 16th.

  • Milton Dept. receives grant

    During emergencies, it is vital that firefighters have the tools to do their job effectively and efficiently. Communication is key to coordinating operations and ensuring the department performs well as a team and stays safe. Now, thanks to a $20,000 grant awarded by Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, the Milton Fire Department will have new state-of-the-art communication equipment.

  • Stith, Gossom to wed Sept. 1

    Lloyd and Nanette Stith, Bardstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Abby Walker Stith to Charles Clifford Gossom, son of Eddy and Kathy Gossom, Milton.

    The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Nelson County High School and a 2012 graduate of St. Catharine College.

    The groom-elect is a 2007 graduate of Trimble County High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Louisville.

    The wedding is scheduled for Sept. 1 at Millanova Winery, Mount Washington.

    The reception will follow the ceremony.

  • Kentucky state tests coming soon to TCMS

    The tests are coming! The tests are coming!

    What I am referring to when I say the tests?

    I mean the State tests given every spring. In an interview with the Trimble County Middle School Principal, Mike Genton, he stated that “The students did remarkably better compared to the previous years” in reference to last year’s scores.

  • TCMS SBDM council elected

    The Trimble County Middle School teachers elected their new SBDM council members last week. The teacher representatives for the year of 2012-2013 are: Steve Gamble Kristy Center and Teena Drake.

    Friday the TCMS PTSA elected their new SBDM parent reps for the council.  They are: Jill Sachleben and Jennifer Aponte.

    Mike Genton, Principal, expressed appreciation  Tom Sibley and Sara Spurr for their work as members of the SBDM council for the 2011-2012 school year.
