The Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God, 124 Smith Lane, Bedford, will be celebrating their 16th Anniversary service and the District Fellowship Meeting of the ALJC, Saturday, August 15th at 6:00 p.m.

The Milton United Methodist Church will host a community antique, collectibles and yard sale tomorrow and Saturday. The sale will begin at 8 a.m. each day. The yard sale will be held in the parking lot of the church. Local residents are encouraged to call 502-663-1043 to reserve space as spaces may sell out. There will be free activities for your kiddos while you browse sale items. There will be food and refreshments available, including an ice cream social. The church is located at 11100 Hwy 421N on the Milton hilltop.
The following Trimble County residents were named to the University of Kentucky Dean’s List for the Spring 2015 Semester: Conner Ball, freshman majoring in Chemical Engineering; Robert Taylor Brooks, a sophomore Chemical Engineering major; Richelle Marie Cassell, a sophomore majoring in Biology; Brandi Lynn Chappell, a senior Kinesiology major; Olivia Morgan Daugherty, a senior Economics major; Sara Kate Long, a junior majoring in Animal Sciences; Travis Glenn Peters, a first-year Pharmacy student; and Colyn Guyn True, a sophomore majoring in Human Nutrition.

Upon receiving a letter from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Cameron Whitaker read the story and developed a desire to take action. He felt the need to gather much needed materials for the Trimble County Animal Shelter. His first plan of action was to find a donation site. Whitaker went to Neil Bryan, President of Farmers Bank of Milton, and requested to set up a drop off place for local citizens to donate.
Megan Mariah-Katherine Morris of Milton recently graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on Health and Medical Issues. Megan also received a “Congratulations” letter from the Dean at WKU for her outstanding academic performance.
She is the daughter of Cindy Morris, Milton, and the late C.D. Morris. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Dorothiann Green and J.C. and Joanna Morris of Pendleton.

Representatives from Hope Health Clinic (HHC), including Marsha Biven, Board Chair, Janet Warren, Clinic Administrator, and Steve Shultz of the LaGrange Rotary Club, provided an excellent overview of HHC, which has been providing affordable health services to five counties since 2011. HHC opened in 2011 to serve those who were without insurance and access to health care. It continues to deliver health care to those who are uninsured or underinsured.
Joe and Paula Wise Ginn of Bedford will soon celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married in Jackson County, Tenn., on Aug. 14, 1965.
Joe is a graduate of Trimble County High School. He retired after 31 years as Plant Manager at Kentucky Correctional Industries in LaGrange. Paula is also a graduate of Trimble County High School and worked as a secretary in the Trimble County school system and later at Trimble County Farm Bureau. They attend Union Grove Church.
Payne and Thelma Hammons Crafton, Bedford, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 11. They were married in Milton on Aug. 11, 1950, by the Rev. Harry Wood.
Mr. Crafton is retired from the Jefferson Proving Ground and Mrs. Crafton is retired from the U.S. Shoe Factory.
The couple has one daughter, Kathy Bryan (Neil) and one grandson, Todd Bryan (Natalie). They have three great-grandsons: Gavin, Asa and Trevor Bryan.
The Bedford Loan & Deposit Bank will host the 26th Annual Bedford Bash tomorrow in the bank parking lot.
The Bash will kick off at 6:30 p.m., and will feature an appearance by the Trimble County cheerleaders, a concert by Six Miles South and the Ninth Annual Bedford Bash Car Show.
