JCTC Trimble County Adult Education will be conducting a Job Skills and Computer Literacy Class at the Trimble County Public Library on Monday and Wednesday beginning January 14, and ending March 27, 2013. The class will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

With just two months remaining until the March 1, 2013, electronic payment law goes into effect, the Treasury Department is urging Social Security and other federal benefit recipients to not delay and switch now to either direct deposit or the Direct Express® Debit MasterCard® card.
Starting Jan. 23, 2013, you can add a symbol that stands for hope and generosity on something you carry with you everywhere: your driver’s license. Like Indiana, Ohio and several other states, Kentuckians will soon have the option to have an organ donor heart printed on their license.
The Trimble County Apple Festival Committee will meet Tuesday, Jan 22 at 7 p.m. in the Trimble County Fiscal Court meeting room of the judge-executive’s office. This group is responsible for planning and organizing the popular event held on the courthouse square every September.
Officer elections and committee chair positions will be appointed at this meeting, so anyone interested in joining a fun group and helping to plan a great local event is invited to join in. Everyone is welcome to attend.
John Mark and Leslie Chilton, Campbellsburg, announce the birth of their daughter, Sarah Kate Chilton, on Nov. 6, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.
Sarah joins six-year-old sister Hannah and two-year-old brother Noah in the Chilton household.
Maternal grandparents are Stephen and Becky Smith, LaGrange, and Becky Smith, Evansville, Ind. Paternal grandparents are Larry and Darlene Chilton, Campbellsburg. Great-grandparents include Myrtle Smith, Crestwood, and Roger and Virginia Powell, Florida.
Milton resident Hannah Hudson has achieved the University of Evansville Dean’s List for academic achievements during the Fall Semester 2012. Hudson is majoring in Science Education.
To make the Dean’s List, a student at UE must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
