The community is invited to a Meet and Greet of new Trimble County High School Principal Michael Slider tomorrow night prior to the Trimble County High School Football Homecoming. The event will be held at 6:00 p.m. outside the Raider Field gate. Free pizza and drinks will be served until supplies run out by the Teen Youth Coalition.
In recognition of Constitution Day, Sept 17, Susanne Konkle, Intermediate teacher at Bedford Elementary School, invited Trimble County Attorney Crystal Heinz to be a guest speaker in her 5th grade Social Studies classroom at BES.
Heinz attended BES as a child and is a graduate of TCMS.
Heinz spoke to the students about the importance of reading, writing, and researching as she prepared for her career as an attorney.

Many visitors appearing at Trimble County’s state fair booth signed tickets to enter the $50 gift card give-away this year. Bedford Rotary conducted the drawing at their September 1 business meeting. Congratulations to winner Diedra Combs who lives on Webb Lane in Trimble County! When contacted, she was quite overjoyed.
The 23rd Annual Trimble County Senior Citizens Benefit Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, at Cardinal Hills Golf Course on Starks Lane in Bedford. Tee off time is 9:00 a.m.
Area golfers are invited to bring your own four-man team. The $55 entry fee includes cart rental, green fee, lunch and drinks. All proceeds from the scramble will benefit local senior citizens.
Lots of prizes will be given. Golfers will have a chance to win $10,000 in a Hole in One contest.

Bedford Deputy City Clerk Rita Davis is a Certified Kentucky Municipal Clerk. She received the certification July 24, 2015. It takes three years to obtain the certification.
Applicants must successfully complete 120 hours of course study by the Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association as approved by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Rita accomplished this goal by hard work and even harder by being the only employee in city hall. Rita has worked for the City of Bedford for over eighteen years.
Community Baby Shower for expecting parents and parents with children up to 24 months of age will be held at the Morgan Community Center on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
