The Bedford Loan & Deposit Bank will host the 27th Annual Bedford Bash tomorrow in the bank parking lot.
This year’s Bash will feature music by The Thrillers. Bedford Bank will also be giving away prizes for both children and adults. The Bedford Volunteer Fire Department will once again be having a fish fry in conjunction with the event. The Bedford Rotary Club lunch wagon and other food vendors will also be on location to satisfy every appetite.

It was a quiet meeting at Bedford Rotary on Aug. 9. In fact, few sounds were apparent for the better part of 30 minutes except for low background recorded gospel music and the silent “swish” of Robin Welty’s art tools as she completed a full picture starting with just a blank, white paper. The full picture was not apparent until she turned on the black lights above and below the production at the end to reveal a quite inspiring work of art.

What law(s) had we violated? Well, isn’t that the first impression many of us have when confronted by a police officer? A kind of negative feeling about our police at first blush?
