    Earth Day tree giveaway

    In honor of Earth Day, the Trimble County Library will be giving away Roughleaf Dogwood and Chestnut Oak trees. These native trees provide food and cover for local animals as well as being important plants for local pollinators. Trees can be picked up from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday. Limit two trees per person.

    Tri-County Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will meet at 10 a.m. at the Trimble County Extension Office, 43 High Country Road in Bedford. The public is invited to attend. Tri-County CAA provides services in Henry, Oldham and Trimble counties.

    You can knit mittens

    Get a jump on next year’s Christmas presents by learning to knit mittens now at 11 a.m. Thursday. If you know basic knit and purl, then you can learn how to knit mittens. This is the second meeting in a class series that meets four weeks. The group meets in the meeting room.

    Artisan bread

    Learn how to bake delicious artisan bread using a simple, no-knead method. The class will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room.

    The Tri-County Community Action Agency will display the Fiscal Yer 2019 Community Service Block Grant Plan from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the CAA’s office located at 3240 U.S. 421N in Bedford. This project is funded, in part, under a contract with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services with funds from the Community Service Block Grant Act of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

    You too can knit mittens

    Take your knitting to the next level and learn how to knit mittens at 11 a.m. Thursday. The class (ages 14 and up) meets for four weeks in the meeting room.

    Children’s maze

    Kids can run, crawl and jump through a maze at 2 p.m. Thursday in the children’s department.

    Lego Club

    Come and build at the library! The meeting room will be a kids construction zone from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday.
