The Bedford Rotary Club is sponsoring the Memorial Day Service at 10:30 am on the courthouse lawn. Please join your community in honoring the veterans and military for their service to our country.

The Bedford Rotary Club will be serving lunch from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Bedford Courthouse lawn.  Lunch will be hamburgers, hotdogs, B-B-Q, chips, cookies and drinks.  Proceeds to benefit Trimble County Relay for Life.

JCTC Trimble Adult Education offers free services for GED preparation, college preparation, ESL, etc.  The GED Test is free through June 30. After this date, test fee will be $60. Students can earn rewards while achieving their goals. Call (502) 255-9191 to schedule an appointment.

Trimble County High School Class of 1976 has scheduled its 35-year reunion for Sept. 17 at the Broadway Hotel Restaurant and Tavern in Madison, Ind. Trimble County Arts Council will sponsor an art exhibit during the month of June at the Trimble County Library. Adults from Trimble County and the surrounding area (Madison Ind., and Carroll, Henry, and Oldham counties) may submit a maximum of two framed/ready-to-hang pieces at the library during the week of May 23-27. Entry forms are available at the library. The show will be on display beginning the first week of June. 2011 Trimble County Relay for Life will be Friday June 10 from 7 p.m. till June 11 7 a.m. Teams have been working since Sept. 2010 on fundraisers for the American Cancer Society’s research to cure cancer. The community is invited to come out to Bedford Elementary School and take part in this event. There will be games for the children and grownups to play, much food to eat, many different forms of entertainment. Come early-stay late.
