Volunteers needed for Medride service

The Medride Program in Carrollton is in need of volunteers. It is operated out of the Senior Center on Sixth Street and the van is parked in front of the center. Volunteer drivers take seniors to medical appointments, usually to Madison, Ind., La Grange, Louisville and occasionally to Campbellsburg or Warsaw.

We could use more retirees, or anyone else, who can help with the driving. Even if you can only help during the summer months, that would be useful. People are sometimes turned down for a ride because there isn’t anyone available on a certain day.
