Vernonne Ellis Hamilton, 70, Milton,  died on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at his residence after a long illness.  

Born April 6, 1941 in Milton, he was the son of the late Victor Ellis and Lillia Ralston Hamilton.     
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Gross Hamilton, Milton, two daughters, Millie Hamilton, Lexington, Marcie Fisher,  Frankfort; two sons, Michael Hamilton, Madison, Ind. and Mark Hamilton, Vevay, Ind.; sister, Belinda York, Anniston, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
