Whow! June sure was an interesting month. At my house in Milton, we received 1.4 inches of rain on June 1st and then only 0.24 inches for the next 29 days. Top that off with 100° F temperatures this past week. Fortunately, this past weekend, we received over 1.5 inches of much needed rainfall. Along with that came some wind damage to cornfields in some areas. We are still in need of additional rain in the coming weeks to revitalize our hay and pasture fields and complete grain and tobacco crops.
