Items published in court news are public record.
The Trimble Banner publishes all misdemeanors, felonies and small-claims judgments recorded in district court, as well as all civil suits recorded in circuit court. Juvenile court cases are not published.

Crime reports are provided by local law enforcement agencies. Charges or citations reported to The Trimble Banner do not imply guilt.The following records were heard in court the week of May 2-May 6, 2011.

Felony
Sarah J. Horstman, criminal mischief, 1st degree. Not guilty plea entered. Amend bond to $1200 unsecured bond.
Cleveland Riley, theft by unlawful taking. Not guilty plea entered. Preliminary hearing May 10. Bond remains same.


Misdemeanor
Adam Lee Artis, assault 4th degree domestic violence minor injury. Diversion-pass for 6 months and if no problems will dismiss. No unlawful contact with complaining witness, no new offenses, $100 diversion fee due June 14. Review Nov. 1.
David Lee Bell, theft by deception. Guilty plea entered. Restitution, fees and court cost $266.18; balance of $164.82 due July 26.
James C. Cunningham, attempted burglary, 2nd degree. Continue to May 17.
Ronald T. Evridge, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc., .08, 1st offense, careless driving, controlled substance prescription not in original container, 1st offense. Not guilty plea entered. Pretrial conference May 17. Revocation hearing on other case May 17.
Cody Hackney, diversion review. Dismiss, successful diversion.
Sarah Horstman, terroristic threatening. Not guilty plea entered. Pretrial conference May 17.
James Huff, revocation hearing. Under submission. Continue to June 14.
Kevin Craig Kelley, diversion review. Dismiss, successful diversion.
James Leatherbury II, theft by deception-4 counts. Guilty plea entered. Restitution, fees and court cost of $741.53 due today. Upon payment in full, merge and dismiss.
David C. Liter, menacing, harassment, no physical contact. Diversion, pass for 6 months and if no problems will dismiss. No contact with complaining witness, no new offenses, refund bond to surety, pay $100 diversion fee due May 17. Review for dismissal Nov. 1.
Brian K. McClain, failed to appear review. Apply bond to fine and court cost and refund balance to defendant, recall DOT if active.
Dannon J. Perkins, failed to appear review. Apply bond to fines and court cost and any balance to be refunded to defendant. Recall DOT notification of active.
Adam Pollard, violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO dismissed with prejudice. Refund bond.
Benjamin T. Tharp, review for proof of AA meetings and $293 due. Paid $40, proof shown. Continue to Aug. 9 to pay balance. Review May 31 and June 28 to file AA meeting.


Traffic
Zach T. Barrett, failure to wear seat belts merged and dismissed. Operating on suspended or revoked operators license. Open guilty plea entered. 30 days jail, 1 day credit, balance of 60 days unconditionally discharged for 2 years; no new offenses; pay CS as ordered. $393 fine and court cost; apply bond of $300, balance of $93 due June 14.
Brittany L. Boley, show cause for proof of insurance. Dismissed per proof.
Kristen R. Carlston, show cause review. Failed to appear, notify DOT and issue warrant for $953 cash, no surety.
Melinda Clark, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs with .08, aggravator, 1st offense, failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense, possession of open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle. Not guilty plea entered. Continue to July 12.
James L. Cox, failure to wear seat belts. Guilty plea entered. $25 fine paid. Failure to produce insurance card dismissed per proof.
Tanya Kay Craig, speeding 20 mph over limit. Guilty plea entered. State traffic school and $143 court cost due July 12.
Victor A. Ellis Jr., failure to wear seat belts, operating on suspended or revoked operators license. Failed to appear, notify DOT.
Levi P. Gammons, failure to wear seat belts. Failed to appear, notify DOT.
Danton Ross Harper, show cause for $643 due. Defendant paid $25 today; continue to Nov. 1 for balance.
Brandi N. Jones, failure to wear seat belts, operating on suspended or revoked operators license. Not guilty plea entered. Pretrial conference June 14.
Sharon J. Joshua, failure to wear seat belts. Failed to appear, notify DOT.
Jessica Martin, failure to wear seat belts. Failed to appear, notify DOT.
James A. O’Connor, improper registration plate merged and dismissed. Failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, 1st offense. Guilty plea entered. $500, $400 suspended. Possession of open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle. Guilty plea entered. $50 fine. Fines and court cost of $293 due today thru bond. Apply bond and refund balance to defendant.
Aaron M. Roberts, failure to wear seat belts. Failed to appear, notify DOT.
Dustin Ryan Sutherland, operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc., .08, 1st offense. Guilty plea entered to DUI, 1st with aggravator. $718 fine and court cost due Jan. 10; 7 days jail, 2 days credit-balance of 23 days conditionally discharged for 2 years; 30 days loss of license; attend and complete alcohol and drug education program, proof of enrollment due May 31. No or expired Kentucky registration receipt, license to be in possession merged and dismissed.
James P. Wright, improper registration plate, no operators or moped license. Failed to appear, notify DOT and issue warrant for $300 cash.

Betty Ransdell vs Jeff Davis, ET AL. Other hearing. Defendant failed to appear; default judgment for plaintiff signed.
Norton Suburban Hospital vs Danny Davis. Review. Order signed releasing garnishment and order of satisfaction signed.
Baptist Health Care Systems vs Rebecca Enos. Review. Order signed releasing garnishment and order of satisfaction.
Midland Funding vs Gail Freeman. Review. Order signed of partial release.
Norton Healthcare, Inc. vs Crystal D. Taylor. Review. Defendant failed to appear. Default judgment for plaintiff signed.
