Trimble County High School basketball teams host Oldham County in a varsity doubleheader. The boys’ varsity  game begins at 6 p.m. The girls’ varsity game starts at 8 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 3
The Trimble County Hymn Sing is 7 p.m. at Bedford United Methodist Church.

Friday, Jan. 4
The Trimble County Raiders basketball team hosts Williamstown. Varsity  game begins at 7:30 p.m.

Monday, Jan 7
The Trimble County Raiders basketball team hosts North Bullitt. Varsity  game begins at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 10
Milton City Commission will meet at the Milton Municipal Building at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 16
The Trimble County Board of Education meets at the School Administration Building on Wentworth Ave., 6 p.m.

Special Notices

The Women’s Circle of Light meets 1st Tuesday of the month 7-9 p.m. at the Harmonizing Health Retreat, 1028 New Hope Rd., Bedford. Women enjoy networking and new friendships. The purpose of our circle is to find peace and strength within ourselves to create joy, beauty and dream fulfillment. Programs build loving relations to be a positive influence in our families and our communities.

Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 158 F&AM meets the fourth Monday of each month. New meeting place is the old Methodist Church located at 266 Church St.

Milton Masonic Lodge #947 meets the 1st Monday of each month at the Milton Lodge located at 10026 Highway 421 North Milton. Meal starts at 6:30 p.m. Meeting at 7 p.m.

JCTC Trimble County Adult Education will be conducting a Job Skills and Computer Literacy Class at the Trimble County Public Library on Monday and Wednesday beginning January 14, 2013, and ending March 27, 2013.  The class will be held from 9:45 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.   Some topics that we plan to cover are resume and cover letter writing, online job search and application, and preparation for the National Career Readiness Certificate.  Please call to register by Jan. 9, 2013, at 502-552-1092.

JCTC Trimble County Adult Education offers FREE tutoring for GED preparation, brush up on academic skills, job skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certificate through ACT (to improve employability), paraeducator testing, learning to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for classes and open lab. Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays and Fridays by appointment. Classes and some appointments are available on Wednesdays. Other appointments are available. Students may earn incentives and great prizes for reaching certain milestones while supplies last.
