Wednesday, Sept. 26
Stop smoking classes will be at the Trimble Co Health Department every Wednesday, starting Sept. 26 thru Dec. 12, 2012.  This is the Cooper Clayton Method and it is a 12 weeks course.  Materials and Nicotine replacements provided.  Times are 6-7 p.m.

TCHS Lady Raiders volleyball hosts Carroll County 7:30 p.m.“Dig for the Cure” Volleyball game-Trimble County vs Carroll County.Wear PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Donations going to Trimble County Relay for Life. Trimble County High School at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 29
King’s Daughters’ Health will host its annual Falls 5K event at Clifty Falls State Park. Registration forms are available at www.kdhmadison.org. Registration will open at 7 a.m.; 5k will begin at 8 a.m. For more information, visit the website or call 812-265-0619.

Thursday, Oct. 4
Trimble County Hymn Sing will be held at 7 p.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 204 Mount Carmel Road off US Hwy 421N. Everyone welcome.

Sunday, Oct. 14
Bedford Pentecostal Church, Hwy 42, will celebrate their 88th church anniversary Sunday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ron Tiller ministering. Meal follows service. Everyone welcome.

Trimble County Arts Council presents the Judith Pratt Shields Memorial Art show and Juried Competition on display at the Trimble County Public Library community Room from Oct. 1-31. An artist reception and Award presentation will be Saturday, Oct. 20 from 3-5 p.m. Community welcome to view all month at regular hours and attend reception.

The Trimble County High School Class of 1972 will have a 40th-year reunion at the Pines Restaurant in Madison on Oct 20 at 6 p.m. The cost will be $20 per person. Please notify Tony Gossom or Susan Mershall Hughes if you’re coming. They may be reached on Facebook or  call Tony at 502-732-4928.

Preschool Story Time is at the Trimble County Public library every Tuesday 10:30 a.m., Wednesday 10:30 a.m. and 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m.  

Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 158 F&AM meets the fourth Monday of each month. New meeting place is the old Methodist Church located at 266 Church St.

JCTC Trimble County Adult Education offers FREE tutoring for GED preparation, brush up on academic skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certificate through ACT (to improve employability), paraeducator testing, learning to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for classes and open lab. Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays and Fridays by appointment. Classes and some appointments are available on Wednesdays. Other appointments are available. Students may earn incentives and great prizes for reaching certain milestones while supplies last. Come in and sign up for fall classes.
