Wednesday, Sept. 5
The Trimble County Board of Education meets at the school administration building on Wentworth Avenue at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 6
Trimble County Hymn Sing will be held at 7 p.m. at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church on Morton Ridge Road off US Hwy 42W. Everyone welcome.

Saturday, Sept. 8
Trimble County Clerk’s office will be closed for the Apple Festival. It will be open for business on Monday at their regular hours.

Bedford Christian Church will hold an Apple Festival yard sale in their yard. Proceeds will go to the Rexroat Family.

Trimble County High School Class of 1971 will have a reunion at 6 p.m. at the Butler Lodge River Room. Just send a note to Suzanne Munier Raker for the numbers attending. We pay for our own dinner. No money needs to be sent in for reservations. We would love to see you!!!

Sunday, Sept. 9
The Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God located 124 Smith Lane Bedford is having their anniversary service at 6:30 p.m. The Rev. James Allen from Lexington will be the speaker.
Hopewell Community Church on Locust Road in Carroll County is having their annual homecoming celebration. Join them for bible study at 10 a.m. morning worship at 11 a.m. followed by an afternoon of fellowship and music. Everyone is invited.

Sutherland-Richmond Reunion with a pitch-in dinner at 1 p.m. at main shelter house at Butler State Park. Bring your family, bring your friends, everyone invited.

TCHS girls golf hosts Gallatin County at Cardinal Hills, 4:30 p.m.

 Tuesday, Sept. 11
TCHS boys golf hosts Owen County at Cardinal Hills, 4:30 p.m.

 Thursday, Sept. 13
TCHS Lady Raiders volleyball hosts Walton-Verona 7:30 p.m.

Milton City Commission  meets at 7 p.m. at the Milton Municipal Building.

 Friday, Sept. 14
TCHS Raiders football hosts Jackson County 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 15
Providence Baptist will hold a Fish Fry from 4-7 p.m. at the church.
Farmhouse Reunion at Novel and Judy Barnes. Starts at 5 p.m. with meal at 6 p.m.-bring covered dish or dessert. Also lawn chair and jacket. Good food and entertainment for all.

Monday, Sept. 17
Trimble County Fiscal Court meets at 9 a.m. at the meeting room in the Judge-Executive’s office.

Wednesday, Sept. 19
The Trimble County Board of Education meets at the school administration building on Wentworth Avenue at 6 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 23
Providence Baptist Church will hold a revival from Sept. 23-26 with special music and guest speaker, Mike Wilson. Nursing available. Sunday morning service at 11 a.m. and nightly services at 6:30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Monday, Sept. 24
Bedford City Commission  meets at 10 a.m. at Bedford City Hall. The meeting has been rescheduled from the regularly scheduled date of Sept. 17.

Wednesday, Sept. 26
Stop smoking classes will be at the Trimble Co Health Department every Wednesday, starting Sept. 26 thru Dec. 12, 2012.  This is the Cooper Clayton Method and it is a 12 weeks course.  Materials and Nicotine replacements provided.  Times are 6- 7 p.m.

Trimble/Henry Counties Animal Shelter is taking appointments for the Sept. 20 SNIP clinic. Space is limited. For pricing, which includes a one-year rabies shot and more information call 502-255-2879 to set up an appointment.  

The Trimble County High School Class of 1972 will have a 40th-year reunion at the Pines Restaurant in Madison on Oct 20 at 6 p.m. The cost will be $20 per person. Please notify Tony Gossom or Susan Mershall Hughes if you’re coming. They may be reached on Facebook or  call Tony at 502-732-4928.

Preschool Story Time will begin in Sept. at the Trimble County Library. Register by calling 502-255-7362 or visiting anytime in August at the Trimble County Public Library. Story Time will begin  Sept.11th Tuesday at 10:30. Every Tuesday 10:30 a.m., Wednesday 10:30 a.m. and 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m.  

The Morgan Community Center will be hosting the annual Apple Festival Flea Market on Friday and Saturday, Sept.8-9 from 9-5. If you would like to rent a space in the gym the cost is $25/both days. Outside spaces are Saturday only for $15. Tables are $2 each. All spaces and tables are on a first come basis. The gym will be available for setup on Thursday Sept. 6 from 9-5 only. All rental proceeds will go toward the Bedford Springs Park. Call Rita Davis at 502-255-4879 for details.

Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 158 F&AM meets the fourth Monday of each month. New meeting place is the old Methodist Church located at 266 Church St.

JCTC Trimble County Adult Education offers FREE tutoring for GED preparation, brush up on academic skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certificate through ACT (to improve employability), paraeducator testing, learning to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for classes and open lab. Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays and Fridays by appointment. Classes and some appointments are available on Wednesdays. Other appointments are available. Students may earn incentives and great prizes for reaching certain milestones while supplies last. Come in and sign up for fall classes.
