Wednesday, June 6
The Trimble County Board of Education meets at the school administration building on Wentworth Avenue at 6 p.m.

Wednesday, June 6-8

Thursday, June 7
Trimble County Hymn Sing will be held at 7 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church. Everyone welcome.

Saturday, June 9
The Milton United Methodist Church will host a spaghetti dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at their new fellowship hall. Proceeds from the dinner and a Bake auction that will follow will go to the Church’s Building Fund.

Sunday, June 10
The Infinite Realm will present a concert during the morning worship service at Calvary Wesleyan Church on Madison’s hilltop beginning at 10:25 a.m.

Tuesday, June 12
Trimble County Relay for Life Bank Night starts at 6 p.m. at the Trimble County Public Library.

Thursday, June 14
Milton City Commission  meets at 7 p.m. at the Milton Municipal Building.

June 15-16
Trimble County Relay for Life runs from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. at the Bedford Elementary School. Booths, survivor’s walk and lots of fun for the community. Come out and make a difference. Everyone has been touched in one way or another. Let’s find a cure.

Monday, June 18
Trimble County Fiscal Court meets at 9 a.m. at the meeting room in the Judge-Executive’s office.
Bedford City Commission  meets at 10 a.m. at Bedford City Hall.

Monday-Saturday, June18-23
The Trimble County Fair at the Trimble County Recreational Park has pageants, rides and food. Fun for the whole family.

Wednesday, June 20
The Trimble County Board of Education meets at the school administration building on Wentworth Avenue at 6 p.m.

Thursday, June 21
The Trimble County Fair will salute veterans and current military personnel with special ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m. Veterans and active military personnel will be admitted to the fair without charge.

Special Notices
JCTC Trimble Co. Adult Education offers FREE tutoring for GED preparation (**GED exam is free until June 30, 2012), brush up on academic skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certicate through ACT (to improve  employability), paraeducator testing, learning to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday and Thursday from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. for classes and open lab.  Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays by appointment.  Classes and some appointments are available on Wednesday.  Other appointments are available. Students may earn incentives and great prizes for reaching certain goals.  Summer workshops for GED and college preparation will begin soon. Call (502) 255-9191.

“You’ve been Flushed” from April 9-June 14th. The Purple Thorne could easily be put in your front yard. Donations to Trimble County’s Relay for Life will take it away or place it on someone else’s lawn. To buy insurance, barring the toilet from appearing in your lawn, is a $15 donation; to have it taken from your lawn and put on someone else’s lawn is a $10 donation; to have it flushed away from your home or business is $5. Join the fun.
