Wednesday, May 23
The Trimble County Water District #1 will hold their regular Board of Director meeting at 9 a.m. at the District office on 42E, Morgan Drive.

Thursday, May 24
The City of Milton will be holding a special meeting at 1 p.m. for a 2012-2013-budget workshop at the Municipal Building.
The Bands of Trimble County Schools will host a spaghetti dinner at the Trimble County Middle School at 5 p.m. Following the spaghetti dinner the bands will present a concert at the TCMS gymnasium at 7 p.m.
 Al Anon group meeting at 6pm at the Prestonville Fire Department. All invited to attend.

Saturday, May 26
Trimble County High School will hold Commencement Exercises for the school’s 100th graduating class at 10 a.m. at the TCHS gymnasium.

Monday, May 28
Memorial Day Service on the Trimble County Courthouse Lawn at 10 a.m. Hosted by the Rotary club, who welcome everyone to come and honor and celebrate our United States Service members.

Saturday, June 2

Trimble Travelers will share “A Taste of Kentucky” on a trip to Frankfort and Lexington on June 9. Leaving courthouse square at 8:30 a.m. and returning around 6 p.m. For more information call 268-3077 or 255-3622.

JCTC Trimble Co. Adult Education offers FREE tutoring for GED preparation (**GED exam is free until June 30, 2012), brush up on academic skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certicate through ACT (to improve  employability), paraeducator testing, learning to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday and Thursday from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. for classes and open lab.  Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays by appointment.  Classes and some appointments are available on Wednesday.  Other appointments are available.  While supplies last, students may earn incentives and great prizes for reaching certain goals.  Summer workshops for GED and college preparation will begin soon.  For more information and to make an appointment, please call 502-255-9191.

“You’ve been Flushed” from April 9-June 14th. The Purple Thorne could easily be put in your front yard. Donations to Trimble County’s Relay for Life will take it away or place it on someone else’s lawn. To buy Insurance, barring the toilet from appearing in your lawn is a $15 donation; to have it taken from your lawn and put on someone else’s lawn is a $10 donation and to have it flushed away from your home or business is $5. Join the fun.
