Wednesday, May 2
The Trimble County Board of Education meets at the school administration building on Wentworth Avenue at 6 p.m.

Thursday, May 3
Trimble County Hymn Sing will be held at 7 p.m. at Hopewell Community Church. Everyone welcome.

Friday-Saturday, May 4-5
Morgan Community Center Spring Fling yard sale is from 9-3. Set up fee is $20 for both days with proceeds for the Bedford Springs Park building fund.  

Monday May 7-June 11
All Senior Citizens are invited to join six weeks of Free HealthRHYTHMS! Every Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Tri-County CAA 3240 Hwy. 421 N, Senior Citizens building. Call Shirley Young at 502-255-7514 to make reservations.

Tuesday, May 8
The Trimble County High School SBDM council is seeking input on qualities you would like to see in the new high school principal.  Please be watching for an e-mail with the survey attached or stop by the high school office to complete the survey.  Surveys will be available from Tuesday, May 1st-Tuesday, May 8th.  Surveys are due Tuesday, May 8th.

Milton City Commission  meets at 7 p.m. at the Milton Municipal Building.

Saturday, May 12
Trimble County Public Library will host their 1st annual Spring Plant Exchange with a gardening lesson at 10 a.m. and plant exchange at 10:30 a.m. Free for anyone and everyone interest in plants and/or garden. You don’t even have to bring plants to participate. Presenter is Bethany Dearing. For more info call 255-7362.

Tuesday, May 15
Bedford Rotary Lunch Wagon will be on the Courthouse Lawn from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for your lunch breaks. There will be take-out and local delivery-call 502-221-0769. All proceeds to benefit the Bedford Rotary Club’s local service projects.

Wednesday, May 16
Triad-Senior’s Day Out and Drug Toss (all drug labels need to be remove) 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tri-County CAA-fitness room/gymnasium, LaGrange. Door prizes, Bingo, free lunch, transportation, educational information and much more. Serving Henry, Trimble and Oldham counties.

Trimble County Relay For Life will meet at the Trimble County Public Library in Bedford at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Sunday, May 20
Southern Seekers Paranormal Society LLC meet at 4 p.m. at Hometown Pizza. Everyone welcome, refreshments provided.

The Trimble County High School Greenhouse is open Mon.-Fri. from 3-6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.

JCTC Trimble Co. Adult Education offers FREE tutoring for GED preparation (**GED EXAM IS FREE UNTIL JUNE 30, 2012), brush up on academic skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certicate through ACT (to improve  employability), paraeducator testing, learning to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday and Thursday from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. for classes and open lab.  Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays by appointment.  Classes and some appointments are available on Wednesday.  Other appointments are available.  While supplies last, students may earn incentives and great prizes for reaching certain goals.  Summer workshops for GED and college preparation will begin soon.  For more information and to make an appointment, please call 502-255-9191.

“You’ve been Flushed” from April 9-June 14th. The Purple Thorne could easily be put in your front yard. Donations to Trimble County’s Relay for Life will take it away or place it on someone else’s lawn. To buy Insurance, barring the toilet from appearing in your lawn is a $15 donation; to have it taken from your lawn and put on someone else’s lawn is a $10 donation and to have it flushed away from your home or business is $5. Join the fun.

The Springs Family Fun Center, 43 Shepherds Lane, Bedford, is open Friday nights from 5-10 p.m. for teenagers, ages 13-19. Come have fun playing pool, air hockey, corn hole, ping pong and other games. Concession available for purchase. Adult supervision provided during operating hours on this non-smoking campus. Transportation provided from high school at 6:30 p.m.
