Drumming in the Woods at Harmonizing Health Retreat (No Fee), 1028 New Hope Rd., Bedford, at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 5
Bedford Elementary PTA Annual Fall Festival will be from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. with games, auction, raffles, food and fun. LA Entertainment will emcee from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Darrin O’Neal Band will perform from 3-5 p.m., BES Choir 5:30 p.m. followed by welcoming ceremonies, National Anthem by Thomas Cifranik and Jeff Moore and Boy Scouts. Live auction starts at 6:30 p.m. with many wonderful items and class baskets. Raffle tickets $1.00 each or 6 for $5; First prize is flat screen TV; 2nd prize Ipod and 3rd prize: County ham. Meal tickets are $6.50 for an adult meal and $4.50 for a child’s meal. A king and queen and prince and princess will be crowned. Vendors include Longaberger, Purse Heaven, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Just Jewelry, Miche Bags and Gold Buying.
Calvary Full Gospel Church with Pastor Bimp McAlister and Associate Pastor Mike Stephens will be holding a Gospel Hymn Sing, starting at 4 p.m. at Westside Volunteer Fire Department, 680 Carlisle St. in Prestonville. Free food. Come and enjoy an evening of gospel music, all are welcome to participate. Bring your church group and solos.
Tuesday, Nov. 8
Relay for Life breakfast at middle school lunchroom from 6-10 a.m.
Election Day. There are two voting location to better serve the county. For the Milton precincts voting is in the Milton Elementary lunchroom. For Bedford precincts voting will be at the Trimble County Middle School. Don’t forget to vote, polls are open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 9
Trimble County Middle School will honor veterans in our community with a visual exhibit, as well as a short program from 9-9:45 a.m. Refreshments will be provided afterwards.
Saturday, Nov. 19
Trimble County Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. in the Kentucky Room at the Trimble County Public Library. All members are urged to attend as election of new officers will be held.
JCTC Trimble County Adult Education does WAY more than GED preparation! In addition to GED preparation, JCTC TCAE also offers the following: brush up on academic skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certificate, paraeducator testing, learn to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays by appointment. Some evening appointments are available. The Tri-County Community Action Agency is in need of volunteers for the Meals on Wheels Program. One day a week for one hour at lunch. Please call Shirley at 255-7514.
