Signature Healthcare will be hosting a community flu shot clinic, sponsored by CVS pharmacy, from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. at Signature Healthcare of Trimble Co., 50 Shepherd Lane Bedford, Ky. CVS pharmacy will administer the shots and will bill any insurance plans that you have. Those without insurance will have a fee.

Madison Municipal Airport will be presenting their annual air show today. The gates will open at 9 a.m. with free parking and admission. The Broken Wing Club will demonstrate their model airplanes and jets. At 12 noon pilots will be executing acrobatic maneuvers.

Tri-County Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will meet at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Campbellsburg State Police Post meeting room located at 180 Citation Lane just off the I-71 exit in Campbellsburg. The public is invited to attend. Tri-County CAA provides services in Henry, Oldham and Trimble Counties.

Toys for Tots annual “Toy Run” will start with sign in at 11 a.m. Ride leaving at 12:30 p.m. from Sunset Grill on US 42 in Warsaw. All proceeds go to the To Run and to buy Christmas presents for the VA Hospice unit. Toys and money will be distributed locally in community. Donations and toys can be dropped off at America at Large, Chapman Tires, Carrollton Chiropractic, Rand Insurance Office and Sunset Grill. All motorcycles and riders are welcome.

“Mix It Up” will be presented by Oldham County Family & Consumer Sciences Agent, Chris Duncan at 10 a.m. at the Trimble County Extension Office. Participants in the Mix it Up program will be encouraged to balance starches, proteins and vegetables in their meals; practice portion control; maximize their resources (time, money and skills); make healthy life style choices; access nutritious foods; secure financial stability and nurture their family. Everyone is invited to attend.

JCTC Trimble County Adult Education does WAY more than GED preparation! In addition to GED preparation, JCTC TCAE also offers the following: brush up on academic skills, college preparation, National Career Readiness Certificate, paraeducator testing, learn to speak English, and more. The Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Testing and orientations are given on Tuesdays by appointment. Some evening appointments are available. The Tri-County Community Action Agency is in need of volunteers for the Meals on Wheels Program. One day a week for one hour at lunch. Please call Shirley at 255-7514.
The polling location for the precincts of North Milton, South Milton, East Milton, West Milton and Leeport will move from the Milton Fire House at the top of the Milton Hill to the new Milton Elementary School. This will provide more room for both the voters and the election officers. Cards will be mailed to each registered voter informing them of change. The general election will be Nov. 8th.
