Trimble Citizens for Energy Reform will meet at the Trimble County Extension Office, at 6:30 p.m. to plan for the Division of Waste Management’s Public Meeting on February 20th regarding LG&E’s coal fly ash landfill permit application. Saturday, Feb. 8
State Senator Paul Hornback (R-Shelbyville) will be at the Trimble County Fiscal Court meeting room from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. to brief constituents on the 2014 legislative session. This forum is free and open to anyone who would like to attend.
Tuesday, Feb. 11
The Henry-Trimble County Animal Control/Shelter will host a meeting at the Henry County 4-H building off of Castle Hwy in new Castle. The meeting will be from 7-9 p.m. and is open to the public. The meeting will cover rescues, foster program, volunteers, Web sites and adoptions. We will have a guest speaker to talk to the group. I think in order to do the best for the animals we need to be on the same page. We are going to host a meeting on the second Tuesday of every month. If you want to help with rescues, fostering or volunteering for the shelter please come. Thanks, Dan Flinkfelt.
Thursday, Feb. 13
The Trimble County Extension District Board will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Trimble County Cooperative Extension Service 43 High Country Lane, Bedford. The Trimble County Extension Council will meet on 10:00 a.m. at the Trimble County Cooperative Extension Service. All meetings of the Extension District Board and Extension Council are open to the general public.
The Milton City Commission will meet at the Milton Municipal Building at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 15
The Trimble County Band Boosters will host a Valentine Dance at the Morgan Community Center from 8 - 11:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for an individual, $12 for a couple and $15 for families. Refreshments available for an additional charge.
Monday, Feb. 17
The Trimble County Fiscal Court will hold its monthly meeting in the Fiscal Court meeting room of the Trimble County Judge-Executive’s office at 9 a.m.
The Bedford City Commission will meet at 10 a.m. at the Bedford City Hall in the Morgan Community Center.
Wednesday, Feb. 19
“Fun and Funky Fondue” will be presented by Shelby County Extension Family/Consumer Sciences Agent Sheila Fawbush at 10:30 a.m. at the Trimble County Extension Office, 43 High Country Lane, Bedford, KY.  Learn about the origins, expense, nutritional value, equipment, etiquette, and planning a get together to enjoy the revival of this retro rage. Everyone is invited to attend.
Thursday, Feb. 20
Tri-County Community Action Agency - Public Board Meeting - Board of Directors, 10 a.m. at the Campbellsburg State Police Post meeting room located at 160 Citation Lane just off  I-71 exit in Campbellsburg. The public is invited to attend. Tri-County CAA provides services in Henry, Oldham and Trimble Counties.
The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet has scheduled a public meeting to explain the application process and answer questions concerning an application submitted by Louisville Gas & Electric and KU Services Company for a permit to construct a special waste landfill at the utility’s Trimble County Generating Station. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Trimble County High School gymnasium.

The Trimble County Hymn Sing will be held quarterly this year. The first hymn sing of the year will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at the Milton United Methodist Church.
The Carroll County ATC’s HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) is sponsoring a “Pet Drive” to collect needed items for the local shelters. They will be distributing these items during a Christmas Gift Giving Party to be held at each shelter. The shelters are in need of food, canned and dry for dogs and cats, leashes and collars, dog treats, toys for dogs and cats, chew bones, bedding, cleaning supplies, gas cards to assist with transporting the animals to the vet or any amount of money donations. Items can be dropped off at your local high school, the Carroll County Area Technology Center, Roy Mertz’s office in Owenton, the Carroll County Animal Clinic in Carrollton or contact Tonya Lindsay (502)732-4479 for pick up.
Trimble County Board of Elections meets every third Tuesday of each month, 10 a.m. at the County Clerk’s office.
The 2014 Relay For Life of Trimble County will be held at 6 p.m. June 13, 2014 at the Bedford Elementary School. The Relay For Life of Trimble County is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our cancer risk and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease.
