Trimble County Public Library presents juggler and ventriloquist Mike Hemmelgarn Juggler at 10 a.m. at Bedford Elementary School.
Friday, July 10
Kentucky Shakespeare Festival will feature Shakespearean-era dancing and the staging of various forms of combat from 6-7 p.m. at Trimble County Park; a production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will follow from 7-8 p.m. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for both performances.

RESCHEDULED FOR JULY 18: Trimble County Band Boosters will host a Fish Fry from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bedford Fire Department. Proceeds benefit Trimble County Band.

Angel Food Ministries will take orders from 5-7 p.m. at Milton Baptist Church. Menus have been distributed to Morgan’s, Midway and Riverside. Any questions please call Kate Bowling at (502) 553-5889.
Milton Lion’s Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the clubhouse on U.S. 421.

Senior citizens will walk, play cards and have a potluck meal at 11:30 at the senior center at Trimble County Park.
American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at Mount Byrd Christian Church, Milton, from 2:30-6:30 p.m. Call (800) 448-3543 for information.
Trimble County Republican Potluck Supper is 6:30-8 p.m. at the Trimble County Public Library, Bedford. Bring a dish and a friend.
North Central KY Goat Producers Association meets at 7 p.m. at the Henry County Extension Office. Terry Hutchens, UK Extension goat specialist, will discuss cheese-making and present slides of his recent trip to the Republic of Georgia. Magician Mark Comley, will perform at 10 a.m. at Bedford Elementary School when the Trimble County Public Library presents Creative Arts Magic Show and Face Painting.
Senior citizens will walk, play cards and hear Kevin Bates speak on preventing falls at 12 noon at the senior center at Trimble County Park.
Trimble CARES – Trimble Community Assessing Resources and Education on Substance abuse will not meet this month. The next meeting is noon Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Thursday, July 16
Football practice starts at 6 p.m. for the Trimble County Middle School Raiders team. Students must have a sports physical completed in order to play. Practice is set for 6-8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Joe Perkinson at (502) 268-3323.

Senior citizens will eat out at Madison, Ind., Ponderosa and shop downtown Madison at 11:30 a.m.

Trimble County Public Library’s deadline for all reading logs is 5 p.m. today. No late logs will be accepted. Remember reading prizes will be awarded to our top readers.
Senior citizens will have a Carnival Day from 10:30-2 p.m. with lunch at 11:30. This is a three-county event; everyone welcome.

The Trimble County Public Library oversight board meets at noon in the conference room.
Tuesday, July 28
Trimble County Apple Festival committee meets at 7 p.m. in the judge-executive’s office adjacent to the courthouse in Bedford.
Wednesday, July 29
Get creative meet and greet Ronald McDonald at 10 a.m. at Bedford Elementary School. This is the last Wednesday for the Trimble County Public Library’s summer reading program. Reading prizes will be awarded to the top readers.
Trimble County Adult Education program offers free GED preparation, job skills upgrade, paraeducator testing, college preparation, and brush-up on academic skills. The Learning Center, located behind Trimble County High School, is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; 5-7 p.m. Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first three Saturdays of each month. Milton Christian Church hours are 5-7 p.m. Monday. Programs at Headstart and the county library are closed for the summer.
Family and friends of Taylor Burkhardt are invited to spend an afternoon with him from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at the Milton Lions Club on U.S. 421 in Milton. Taylor Burkhardt will be in town for a few days before he returns to Mississippi to prepare for deployment to Saudi Arabia in September. He is a 2001 graduate of Trimble County High School and has served in the U.S. Air Force for six years. Those who cannot attend may send a card to him at 1783 Fisher Ridge Road, Milton, KY 40045.
