Trimble church women produce cookbook

-A A +A

“A Taste of God’s Love” is the title of a new cookbook assembled by representatives of four local churches who call themselves “Women of faith in Trimble County.”

Women from the Bedford Baptist Church, Bedford Christian Church and the Bedford and Milton United Methodist churches are responsible for coordinating the effort. The publication features numerous recipes and includes recipes from the first, second and third-place entries in the apple pie contest at the Trimble County Apple Festival.

According to Mildred Pruitt, the cookbooks are available at all four of the churches. Contact persons at the Bedford Baptist Church include Charlotte Vincent and Phyllis Peniston; Mary Ann Bowling at the Bedford Christian Church; Diana Sharber at the Milton United Methodist Church; Helen Moore, Sue Fisher and Jane Dunlap at the Bedford United Methodist Church. The women will also be selling the cookbooks at a booth during the Trimble County Apple Festival in September.

The purchase price of “A Taste of God’s Love” is $15 each or two for $25.

Proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks will benefit two area projects: the Family Resource Youth Services Center at Trimble County High School and the Hands of Christ Food Pantry.
