Trimble in 2nd All A Classic Sat.

Trimble County’s volleyball team will travel to Jeffersontown, Ky., Saturday to compete in the 2012 Touchstone Energy All A Classic Volleyball Tournament. The appearance will be Trimble County’s second consecutive in the elite Sweet Sixteen of class A champions from the 16 regional sites around the state. This year’s tournament will be held at the Mid America Volleyball Center in Jeffersontown.

Trimble will open pool play at 9:30 a.m. against Region 2 champion Caldwell County (16-2). The Lady Raiders face Region 15 champs Allen Central (12-3) in their second pool game at 11:30 a.m. Trimble’s third pool opponent will be Lexington Christian (8-0) at 1:30 p.m.

The top two teams in each pool will advance to the Championship Division Tournament while the third and fourth place teams in each pool will advance to a Consolation Round.

Championship bracket play and consolation bracket play begins at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $10 per person for all day. Gates at the center open at 7:15 a.m.
