With two counties to cover, animal control officer Dan Flinkfelt has his work cut out for him, according to his Kentucky Humane Society supervisor Mike McNutt.
Trimble and Henry counties share a contract with KHS in Louisville that provide services such as picking up strays, taking in pets surrendered by their owners for various reasons, enforcing animal cruelty laws and handling any animal-related complaints from residents.
Flinkfelt is based at the KHS animal shelter in Eminence and oversees both counties’ animal issues and complaints.
