TCMS honors 6th graders, staff members

Trimble County Middle School Principal Mike Genton has announced the sixth grade students and staff members who are being recognized for their achievements last month.

Ella Aponte is the Sixth Grade Female Student of the Month. Ella’s favorite class at TCMS is Reading with Ms. Jordan. She is a member of the cheerleading squad, FCA, Art Club and Young Historians. Ella’s favorite book is The Hunger Games and her favorite TV show is GLEE.  Outside of school Ella loves to read and to shop. Her favorite memory at TCMS is of cheering for the Raiders. After high school Ella is undecided about which college or university to attend but she does plan to become a biochemist when she graduates.

Weston Wentworth is the Sixth Grade Male Student of the Month.  Weston’s favorite class at TCMS is Science with Ms. Edgington. His favorite activities at school are reading and writing. Weston’s favorite book is Chasing Abe Lincoln’s Killer and his favorite TV show is Regular Show.  Outside of school Weston enjoys riding his dirt bike. His favorite memory at TCMS is switching to different classes. After high school Weston plans to attend UK and wants to become a police officer.

Linda Liter is one of our Teacher of the Month Spotlights for Sixth Grade.  Liter has been at TCMS for 15 years. She attended Spaulding University. Outside of school Liter spends her time working in her garden, reading books, traveling and playing with her grandchildren. Her favorite foods are corn on the cob and fresh green beans. Liter’s favorite TV shows are Two and a Half Men and old movies and westerns. Her favorite thing at TCMS is when students tell her about the books they read and ask her to recommend other books for them to read. She loves to read.

Diane Adams is our other Teacher of the Month Spotlight for Sixth Grade.  This is her first year at TCMS. Adams attended college at Eastern Kentucky University and currently is working on her Master’s at Cincinnati. Outside of school Adams enjoys being outdoors, hiking, swimming, zumba, reading and walking/running. Her favorite foods are mashed potatoes and ice cream (not together obviously) and her favorite TV show is Parenthood. Adams’s favorite thing about TCMS is seeing growth in students in their academics and socially from the start of this year till the present.
