If you have talent, any talent, the Chamber of Commerce is looking for you.

The chamber will be hosting local talent searches on the fourth Thursday of each month from February through July. The winner of each monthly contest will be invited to the annual chamber banquet in August to perform. Performers will be judged by the membership, and the overall winners will receive $750 for first place and a trophy; $200 for second place; and $100 for third.

The chamber raises money at its banquet through a silent auction, and usually features a guest speaker.

“Carroll County has so much talent and the chamber committee thought, what better way to showcase that talent than at the banquet,” Lonnie Sundermeyer, past president and current board member said.

Preliminary shows will be held at the Carroll County Public Library from 6-8 p.m., starting Feb. 27. Admission will be $1. All talent must be “G” rated and can be anything from playing the spoons to magic, poetry recital or singing.

To sign up, call (502) 732-7034. The chamber is hoping to have 15 acts a night for people to choose from.
