The Trimble County 6th grade boys competed against Jennings County on December 2nd. The Raiders played a hard fought game that went into double overtime, with Jennings County pulling out the 35-32 win. Dane Lacefield led all scorers with 12 points, Evan Stevens 11, Logan Clifford 4, David Duncan and Shane Mills 2 and Andrew Edmondson 1 point and 6 rebounds.
In other action Trimble traveled to Williamstown this past Saturday. The Raiders got off to a slow start, with Williamstown leading by 2 points after the first quarter. In the 2nd quarter the Raiders took control of the game and cruised to an easy 38-23 victory. Leading scorers were Duncan 14 points, Ben Stevens and Grant Weaver 5 each, Edmondson and Clifford 4, E. Stevens, Mills and Lacefield 2 each.
In a border rivalry with Henry County this past Sunday the Raiders played a close game for 3 quarters, with the Wildcats leading by 3. During the 4th quarter Trimble scored several baskets to take the lead causing Henry to come out of their zone and play man to man defense. The Raiders then took control and dominated the rest of the game scoring 14 points in the 4th and holding Henry scoreless. Final Trimble 30 Henry 19. Leading scorers-E. Stevens 9, Clifford 6, Duncan 5, Lacefield 4, Mills, Duncan Ralston and Edmondson 2. Weaver had 7 rebounds.
