Schools garner ‘Race to Top’ funds

The Trimble County School System is among applicants – representing 55 school districts across 11 states and Washington, D.C. – that have won the 2012 Race to the Top-District competition.
More than 20 of those districts that won are in Kentucky.

“We are thrilled to be one of the recipients of the Race To the Top Grant,” Trimble Superintendent Marcia Dunaway said. “We do not have specific guidelines of what the details for the grant will be.”
