Samuel Ellis “Sam” Kidwell, 90, of Milton, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Samuel Ellis “Sam” Kidwell, 90, of Milton, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Hanover Nursing Center in Hanover.

Born Sept. 18, 1917 in Trimble County, he was the son of William and Lottie Fox Kidwell. He was a life-long farmer who enjoyed hunting and caring for cattle. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II and an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Survivors include two nephews, William A. Ward and Terry Graves, and several great-nieces and nephews.

His parents, a sister, Beryl Ward Graves, and a nephew preceded him in death.

Services were Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Leach officiating.

Burial was in Moffett Cemetery.

Wood-Oakley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
