Runnin’ Raiders compete at S.O.

The Trimble County High School cross country team traveled to Crestwood Saturday to compete in the South Oldham Dragon Invitational.

Trimble’s boys took sixth place of 11 teams competing in the 5k run. The top  five runners for the Raiders were Christian Apel, who finished 17th overall; Kevin Bailey, 20th; Connor Ball, 22nd; Kyle Puckett, 46th; and Tray Robbins, 50th. There were 88 runners in the pack who finished the run.

Teams competing in the boys’ event besides Trimble included Oldham County, North Hardin, Martha Layne Collins, Central Hardin, Louisville Male, Christian Academy of Louisville; North Bullitt, Southern, Henry County and host South Oldham.

Trimble’s girls took eighth place overall of 11 teams. Top five Trimble runners were: Kylie Wilberding, 13th; Kirsten Baird, 30th; Erin Gonterman, 41st; Morgan Chappell, 45th and Emily Tingle, 72nd. There were 93 girls competing.

Teams competing in the girls’ event besides Trimble included Oldham County, Fairview, Martha Layne Collins, Central Hardin, Louisville Male, Christian Academy of Louisville; Ballard, Mercy Academy, Henry County and host South Oldham.
