Robert Samuel Tribble, 85, of Pendleton, formerly of Louisville, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008.
Born in Shelbyville March 6, 1923, he was the son of James Jones and Newell Grace (Hulette) Tribble.
A four-great-nephew of Daniel Boone, he was very proud of his Kentucky pioneer heritage. During World War II he served as a radar technician with the 233rd AAA Searchlight Battalion in the South Pacific. He remained active with their reunion activities and edited their newsletter.
