Robert “Bobby” Cyrus Robbins, 61, of Carrollton died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at his home.
Born Jan. 4, 1947, in Carrollton, he was the son of the late Carl and Scottie Ball Robbins.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 134, Carrollton. He was a veteran of the U.S. military, having served in Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Link Robbins; a son, Robert Carl Robbins, of Milton; two step-sons, Danny Wayne Jett and Chris Perkins, both of Williamstown; three daughters, Janet O’Brath of Bedford, Lori Smith of Battle Creek, Mich., and Rebecca Westrick, of Milton; two step-daughters, Lisa Hornbeck of Carrollton and Teresa Howard of New Liberty; five sisters, Paula Royal, Raleigh, N.C. and Brenda Medley, Carla Warrick, Ann Plew and Barb Gould, all of California; a step-sister, Debbie Brierly of New Castle; a step-brother, Kenneth Ray of Osceola Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, a sister, Carolyn Penn, preceded him in death.
Services were Friday, Aug.1, at Family Worship Center, 2520 State Hwy. 227, Carrollton, with the Rev. David Wotier officiating. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery, Owenton.
Pallbearers were Butch Burns, Billy Arvin, John Dempsey, Roger Arvin, John Tilley and Scott Roberts. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Brock, Kash Carmack, Darrell Clark, Brian Willis and Carol Stangle.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Grass Hospice; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
