Carrollton Federal Bank held a Christmas wreath decorating contest and silent auction in the month of December with all proceeds to benefit Relay for Life. All of the wreaths submitted for the contest displayed imagination and creativity. This was evident by the close race for first place. It was our honor to display the wreaths in our lobby. They were beautifully decorated and received many compliments by the public.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the following Christmas wreath decorating contest participants that competed for the $100 first place grand prize: Jodie Kemper; Carroll County U-14 Lady Panthers Softball Team; Penny Tuttle; Craigs Do-It Hardware Store; Craigs Rental Center; Lee Garriott; Charles Sampson; and Jobs for America’s Graduates.

In addition, we would like to extend our gratitude to WIKI for its coverage of the event and the silent auction participants. Congratulations to the silent auction winners.

The grand prize winner of our wreath decorating contest, selected by the public, was Charles Sampson. Mr. Sampson charitably donated his grand prize winnings to Relay for Life. We would like to express our gratitude for his generosity and support of Relay For Life.

Our first wreath decorating contest was a success. We look forward to the continuation of displaying the local community talent in our lobby for the public’s enjoyment for many years to come. We hope that it continues to grow each year with an increasing number of participants.
