The Trimble County boys’ basketball team has had a very busy month of June, according to Varsity Coach Johnny Leep.
The team has played more than 40 games during the past month. The Raiders traveled to Transylvania University to participate in Brian Lanes Team Camp. Trimble County had 25 boys participate in the camp ranging from 6th grade to 12th grade. The team also traveled to Asbury University to participate in Asbury’s team camp.
“I was very pleased with the effort and performance of our teams this summer,” Leep said Friday. “We competed very well against top-level competition. I was also very pleased with the growth and development of our young guys.”
The future of basketball in Trimble County is “very bright,” Leep added.
The Raiders now take a break in compliance with the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s designated Dead Period. They will return to the gymnasium on July 10th focusing on individual skill development and weight training.
