Friday, Nov. 26

12:22 p.m.: Dispatched to a structure fire at 171 Mooreland Court. Chief Jason Long arrived on scene and discovered smoke coming from the second story of the house.
Engine 8531’s crew located a fire near the chimney. Crews contained the fire to the attic around the vent.
Bedford VFRD and Trimble County EMS also assisted on scene.

Saturday, Nov. 27

6:56 a.m. dispatched to 110 Roberts Lane to assist Bedford VFRD on a large barn fire. Squirt 8533, Tanker 8562, and Field unit 8574 responded to the scene to assist. Squirt 8533 was used to help extinguish the fire with its boom.
After several hours, the fire was under control. Milton units then went available. Cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
